Hi, I’m Will2Retro — the gamer, dad, and lone wolf behind the controller.

My journey into gaming began as a kid with the Commodore 64 (Load “*…”) and Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES. When I joined the U.S. Navy in 2003, my gaming life took a sharp turn toward non-existent. But now, after nearly 22 years of service, as my Navy career winds down, I’ve reignited my passion for gaming — and leveled up from just playing games to fixing, reviving, collecting, and reselling them.

What started as a small side quest to rebuild my childhood collection and reconnect with my roots has evolved into a full-blown passion for restoring consoles, repairing controllers, and bringing classic systems back to life — all while working toward offering affordable prices for my customers.

When it comes to electronics repair, I didn’t even know how to use a soldering iron when I started. But like any great game, it’s been all about learning the mechanics — one challenge, one repair, one victory at a time.

Today, Will2Retro is more than just a hobby — it’s becoming a full-time mission. Whether I’m resurrecting a dead console or testing out a new build, I’m always learning, experimenting, and having fun doing it.

Unlike most, I’m not afraid to buy broken consoles and games just to bring them back to life for others to enjoy.
